Track cycling is the purest discipline: one gear, no brakes, no wind… just total speed.

Like road racing, track races are a collection of flat out efforts with limited recoveries and all done at high revs.

I’ve coached riders from novice to National Series Winner and National Champion. I can provide structured and progressive sessions to address your weaknesses and capitalise on your strengths, even if you can’t train regularly on a velodrome. All you need is a track bike and some form of home trainer; a basic turbo plus a set of rollers is ideal.

By focussing your training on gaps in performance in terms of cadence and strength, we can elevate your performance in your chosen events over 8-10 weeks. BlackCat can also provide a specialised Strength and Conditioning programme to improve aspects of your track performance.
